Good Show, Sully!

Much has been made in recent weeks of Captain Chesley B. Sullenberger's heroism in the air in the past couple weeks. However, I submit that with his finely manicured moustache and obvious flyboy confidence that his unprecedented ditch into the Hudson was never really in doubt. You can tell certain things about a man by the cuffs of his jacket.

Roger That!

Sure, Don Draper gets all the hype and most of the women. However, no one can deny Roger seems to be having more fun. Whether he's romancing twins or the office goddess Joan, Roger always has a smirk on his face compared Don's permanently downcast, weight of the world on his shoulders expression. Kudos to John Slattery for playing Roger with such aplomb. Kudos again to "Mad Men" for showing men who don't let a little thing like marriage get in the way of their bachelor ways.
I prefer to ignore the dark side to philandering, of course.

Always Prepared

Rod Blagojevich/Bob's Big Boy/Impeached Governor of Illinois appointed Attorney General and Businessman Roland Burris to sit in Barack Obama's vacated senate seat. Clearly, this entire situation and everyone involved in it is insane. However, This Bachelor likes the cut of Burris's jib. Is there anything more ostentatiously badass than building a mausoleum in monument of yourself and your accomplishments before you die? It's delightfully egotistical and positively dandyish. I'm going to start on mine right away.

Here's a picture of the tasteful edifice:

Oh yeah, ever the modest one, Roland Burris named his children Roland jr. and Rolanda. I love this guy!

Can't Beat the Moleskine

Leave the Blackberrys to the philistines on Wall St. ensuring our collective ruin. A true gentlemen still uses paper diaries. The best of which is Moleskine - the journal of Hemingway and Picasso.
